Did you know that there is a circus company right here in Calgary? Green Fools Theatre has been around for almost thirty years and is focused on helping children through circus. Beginning as a performance company, Green Fools then started teaching circus at festivals. Then in Northern Alberta. Then as far away as Africa! All of these experiences led to bringing circus back to Calgary children! But what is it that’s so great about circus?
When you’re a kid, the whole world is a wonder. If you’ve got a hand to hold and new sights to see it doesn’t matter if the only trip you take is in your own backyard. The Foothills of southern Alberta are Calgary’s Backyard and we invite you to see us through a child’s eyes. With more wonders than one day can hold, we hope you’ll come visit us many times.

Everyone is born to sing, and we do it almost unconsciously. We sing along to our favourite songs, soothe babies with lullabies and sing teaching songs like the ABCs. Singing plays a powerful role in development – it helps teach language skills, bonds us with our parents, and is foundation for a strong music education.
