Winter hiking gives you a chance to experience the mountains in a quieter, more serene way compared to the busy summer months. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore the great outdoors, there are plenty of winter hiking options in nearby areas like Kananaskis or even around the city.

Chinook Blast

Snow Rodeo FIS Canada Snowboard Slopestyle and Halfpipe World Cup

With dozens of breweries scattered around the city, there is something for all pallets. Most breweries not only allow kids but welcome them with open arms, providing activities or special meal deals for your littles.

Natural hot springs

Warm up in one of the many natural hot springs in and around Calgary. A short drive takes you to Banff Hot Springs, while a longer road trip will bring you to Fairmont and Radium hot springs. If you are comfortable driving four hours or more, check out Lussier or Miette hot springs to take a dip.

Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary
