10 ways to have an amazing April
On April 3, 2025 by Calgary's ChildSpring is finally here and there are plenty of ways to get out and enjoy our city as the bunnies turn brown and buds start to appear on the trees.
Pet some baby goats, cheer for your favorite sports team, hunt for eggs, or play some tunes; there is something for kids with all interests to do this month around town.

Spring Barnyard Baby Days at Butterfield Acres

Cheer on the Roughnecks

Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park
One of the newest members of the Alberta Parks’ family, Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park is less than an hour drive northwest of Calgary along the Bow River. A day-use park, Glenbow Ranch is a great destination for a picnic, where there are over 28 kilometres of pathways. Take in a soccer game
The Cavalry Football Club season kicks off April 5. Check out a game on ATCO Field at Spruce Meadows. The venue also has several fun activities for kids to take part in ahead of kickoff, such as bouncy castles, mini soccer games, face painting and more. Bragg about it
Tickle your tastebuds at the Taste of Bragg Creek Festival on April 25. Visit participating vendors in the Bragg Creek Hamlet Area as they celebrate the festival that has been a tradition in the community since 2013. Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre
