Flap your way through the Discovery Centre while exploring hands-on Investigation Stations with experts from the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area and the City of Calgary. April 9; Calgary Toy Show and Sale at Dalhousie Community Association, Calgary’s family-friendly collectible toy sale is back with its first Spring Sale! Thousands of vintage and modern toys: Hot Wheels and other diecast vehicles, action figures, Star Wars, Transformers, Nerf, Funko Pops, LEGO sets and Minifigures, Barbie, stuffed toys, Pokémon cards and figures, and more. Door prizes and fun for kids of all ages! Tickets are $3 to $5 at the door. Cash only.

April 9 to May 8, Uninvited: Canadian Women Artists in the Modern Moment at the Glenbow Museum, see more than 200 works of art by a generation of extraordinary women painters, photographers, sculptors, architects and filmmakers from a century ago as well as works made by their Indigenous female contemporaries working in traditional media, for a cross-country snapshot of female creativity in this dynamic modern moment. Until April 14, Nightrise combines multimedia, storytelling, and nature at the Banff Gondola for a multi-sensory journey like no other. The event will bring light and sound together to share a new and inspiring perspective in the heart of the Rockies. At Sulphur Mountain’s peak, guests can explore the many levels of the summit building and enjoy Rockies-inspired eats and drinks. Until May 28; Greased at Jubilations Theatre, tap your toes and laugh as the theatre parodies one of the all-time great nostalgia trips. All your favourite rock and roll classics of the 50’s are queued up and ready.
Until June 26; Otipemisiwka at Fort Calgary, the exhibit showcases recent works by Daphne Boyer, a visual artist and plant scientist, using a photo-based technique that mirrors spectacular traditional Métis beading.
