April 5 to 30; Pysanky for Peace Artwork Fundraiser, a group of local artists led by pysanky master Daena Diduck, will design 14 three-dimensional eggs ranging from three to six feet tall, one for each month that the war has been ongoing in Ukraine. The eggs will be displayed at the mall as public art until the end of the month, when they will be sold in a silent auction with proceeds going to two Ukrainian support organizations. April 7, 10am; Siblings Bonding at New Horizon Mall, a fun and interactive event designed to help siblings to interact in a fun way to create lasting memories. Until April 8; Lunchbox Theatre Presents: Countries Shaped Like Stars, a musical love story for adults, teens and precocious children, Gwendolyn Magnificent and Bartholomew Spectacular use a tin-can telephone to share their whimsical story. The performance begins with demanding dragon fruits and ends with heartache whispered into the ears of birds and constellations. With spoons, water glasses, whirly-winds and a mandolin, the performers create the sounds and images of a landscape forever altered by two people coming together and falling apart. April 8; Gurnam Bhullar at Jack Singer Concert Hall, Gurnam Bhullar is a very popular Punjabi singer, who made his singing debut with the album Heer Jehiyan Kudian in 2014. His other albums like Rakhli Pyar Nai (2016) and Drivery (2017) were also chartbusters. The singer turned actor debuted in the Punjabi film industry with the movie Guddiyan Patole (2019). April 8 to 9, 2 to 6pm; Rattle Making Workshop Hosted by Cree8, begin each day with a traditional welcome, smudge and blessing of all materials, tools and the rattles at the Arts Learning Centre at Arts Commons. Chantal will be your guide, instructing how to create your Rattle step by step. Chantal will share the history and stories of the rattle and the teachings of the Medicine Wheel.
