January 17 to 19; Kid Koala: The Storyville Mosquito. Montreal-based scratch DJ, music producer, and graphic novelist Kid Koala is coming to Bella Concert Hall this January. The Storyville Mosquito tells the tale of a jazz-playing mosquito who leaves his small town in the country to seek fame and fortune in the big city; the story is brought to life simultaneously on stage and screen, with miniature sets, live puppetry, cinematography, and live music by Kid Koala and a string trio. January 18 to 21; Ski Cross World Cup at Nakiska Ski Area. The FIS Ski Cross World Cup is an annual freestyle skiing competition bringing together the top ski-cross athletes in the world to compete on home soil at the Nakiska Ski Area in Kananaskis.
