Ghouls’ Night Out at Heritage Park
October 24 to 27; Check the Park’s website for hours for this event. Ghouls’ Night Out at Heritage Park. Enjoy a spooktacular night of Halloween thrills and chills at this child-friendly event. Dress up and explore the park after dark! Have tea with the Mad Hatter, wander through the pumpkin patch, play carnival games, dance with zombies, and more! Tickets on sale online or by phone.
Fort Calgary Presents: A Barracks Boo-tacular
Oct 25; Join for some family-friendly Halloween fun! Bust out your costumes early for trick-or-treating and crafting in the museum. Kids will get their history-fix (and sugar-fix) from the interpreters as they practice their “Trick-or-Treat!” through the museum. They can also stop by the craft table in the Confluence Room to make the perfect Halloween-themed pumpkin pet to take home with them. If they haven’t filled up on candy, kid-friendly light snacks are available. Ideal for kids ages 4 to 11. Website.

Fort Calgary Presents: Black & White Movie DOUBLE FEATURE Halloween Edition
Oct 25; Fort Calgary Presents: Black & White Movie Night. Join Fort Calgary in the Burnswest Theatre for a night at the movies! Grab snacks and a cocktail at this licensed event, and enjoy two terrifying black and white movies in Fort Calgary’s newly-renovated theatre: Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) and Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960). Enchanted Okotoks
Oct 26; Calling all fantasy fans back to swarm downtown Okotoks to celebrate medieval culture, vikings, witches, wizards, dragons, role-playing, cosplay, kids activities, and all those geek n’ fandom things you love! Attendees will see fire acts, get the opportunity to fight with knights in shining armour, hear tales of old, dress in their finest cosplay, and shop and explore the fantasy world. Created and put on by the Okotoks Arts Council, this event is a celebration of creativity. If you are able, the OAC would love for you to place a donation in the witches cauldrons. Spooktacular Family Fun at Calgary Farmers’ Market
Oct 26; Come dressed in your Halloween costume for spooktacular fun with a Christopher Cool Halloween Party from 10am to 1pm on the main stage. There will be magic shows, costume giveaways, Monster Mash dance parties, games, and more! And from 10 to 11am, watch as a professional pumpkin carver creates scary and ghoulish pumpkins right in front of your eyes. You can even enter for your chance to win one of his spooky creations. Find Fercibal carving by Cherry Pit. Then check out the Mad Scientist Fire & Ice Show at 1:45pm on the main stage as you’re wowed with fun experiments! Halloween Party at Westbrook Mall
Oct 26; Kick off your Halloween celebrations at Westbrook Mall! This Halloween party is in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. With a $2 donation, families and children can enjoy crafts and face painting in the centre court, plus they’ll receive a free 4 x 6 Halloween photo! Halloween Horror Make-up Workshop
Oct 26; Learn theatrical make-up techniques to produce brutal bruises, gruesome cuts, nasty burns and impossible scars on arms and faces. Pieceful Acres Cemetery Presents: Drac’s Bleed ‘n Feed
Oct 26 & 31; A family-friendly haunted house run by Steve and Gina Smith in Queensland, located in southeast Calgary. This year’s theme is Dracula!! Come on out for this low scare and fun haunted house. The haunted house is open October 26 and 31, 6:30 to 9pm. Costumes encouraged but not necessary. Please bring food bank donations.
