March 11, 3 to 8pm; Spring Fling Gift Market, Spring Fling is held at the Bearspaw Lifestyles Centre and is full of vendors to with creative, unique, beautiful decor, clothing, food and drinks. With more than 70 vendors and an Art Hive for kids to colour pictures, there is something for everyone.
March 11, 10am to 3pm, What’s Up with Reptiles and Amphibians, investigate Alberta’s sometimes scaly and sometimes slimy creatures at Bow Habitat Station’s What’s up with Reptiles & Amphibians event! Visit investigation stations hosted by volunteers and partner organizations. Event activities are included with paid Discovery Centre Admission.
March 12, 10am to 5 pm; Winter Carnival, the event will include an outdoor scavenger hunt, food trucks, art activities, entertainment, special performances, and live music. Activities will be hosted outdoors at the Alexandra Centre premise (922 9 Avenue SE), Jack Long Park, Calgary Read’s Little Red Reading House, and on the east lawn at Fort Calgary. March 12 and 13; Kits 4Kids – Preparing Kits at the Farm, help Grow Calgary Farm prepare early germination kits for kids in the city to allow them to start their own gardens at home. Grow Calgary will be preparing pre-assembled kits for kids that will include a tray, soil, seeds and dome. Come out to the farm and help us prepare the kits to allow for kids to learn about how food is produced and how to care for their own micro- gardens. Learn more and buy tickets here!
March 12 and 13; En L’air Academy’s A Frozen Kingdom, see your favorite frozen princesses brought to life through the arts of dance, acrobatics, and aerial on stage in the beautiful Grand Theatre. En L’air Academy presents a death-defying tale of love that saves a kingdom from the grip of eternal winter created by magic that bursts free after having been hidden away in isolation. Watch as they overcome snow monsters, evil princes, and their own misconceptions all while performing amazing feats high above the stage. Beginning March 1; Quantum Sandbox at TELUS Spark, a digital immersion gallery like nothing before, where guests find themselves in a world of colours, sounds, movement and energy. March 8 to 29; The Festival of Animated Objects, this festival brings world-class artists to engage and entertain audiences of all ages through the innovative and sophisticated art of storytelling through mask, puppetry, and animated objects.
