Easter Weekend Events
On April 5, 2023 by Calgary's ChildApril 1 to 9; Cabela’s and Bass Pros Easter Activities, head to Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s for a free photo with the Easter bunny. Reservations are recommended but not required. Learn more at cabelas.ca.
April 5 to 9; Hop into Easter at Calgary Farmers’ Market, find all the eggs you need for decorating, the finest hams for glazing, and the perfect potatoes for scalloping, plus family fun for market shoppers. On April 8 from 1 to 3pm CFM South will host Butterfield Acres and their most huggable animals on the south lawn. Stop by to meet goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, and piglets. Wild Rose Rabbit Rescue will also be there, giving you the chance to foster or adopt a rabbit, and to learn all about how you can support their amazing rescue efforts. On April 8 from 3 to 7pm, CFM West will add a little Easter joy to your visit – take advantage of free face painting and balloon animals while you get everything you need for the holiday. April 7, 10am to 1pm; The Calgary Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs, a fun-filled morning of hunting for treat-filled eggs with your leashed dog(s) on Calaway Park’s south field. In addition to dog treats they find in eggs, each pooch participant will receive a gift bag and has the chance to win additional prizes. Learn more at nsd.on.ca.
April 7, 1pm to 4pm; Triwood Kids Easter Eggstravaganza, Celebrate Spring with the Triwood Community Easter Kids party with music, games, and crafts, a special visit from the Calgary Police Command Vehicle and Calgary Fire Department Truck, and food and beverage trucks. April 7 to 8; Meet the Easter bunny at Deerfoot City, grab a self-photo with the friendly rabbit and pick up a sweet treat in the common dining area by Viet Lounge and RE: GRUB. Also, from April 5 to 23, count the colors of 15 hidden eggs around Deerfoot City and submit your findings to win a $250 gift card and other prizes.
April 7 to 9; Heritage Park Easter Brunch and Tea, Easter Brunch at the Wainwright Hotel on April 9 will include a delicious buffet-style brunch with all of your favorites, like waffles, pancakes, eggs benedict and quiche. The sweetness of Spring is in the air and it’s time to hop your little bunnies down to the zoo for the 2023 Easter Eggstravaganza. Spreading the fun over four exciting days with educational games, delicious treats and animal enrichment surprises all included in your day admission ticket. April 8, 9am to 1pm; Easter Extravaganza at Marda Loop Community Association, with free pictures with the Easter bunny, free treats for the kids, food trucks, face-painting and a DIY tie-dye station, this is an egg-cellent event. April 8, 10am to 1pm; Easter Egg Hunt at Acadia Community Association, the association’s inaugural egg hunt will feature food trucks, basket decorating, glitter tattoos and prizes. Free for all ACA member children and $5 per non-member child. Learn more at acadia.community.
April 8, 10am to 4pm; Spring Flings & Easter Things, a family-oriented day where you can indulge in all things Spring at Leighton Art Centre. April 9, 10 to 11am; Mount Norquay Easter, the Easter bunny will be making a very important stop at Mt. Norquay this year and hiding thousands of chocolate treasures in the snow. April 9; 10:30am to 12pm; Easter At The Jack, celebrate Easter with Experience Church at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. This is an event for all ages.
April 9, 11am; Banff Sunshine Village Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt, say hello to the Easter Bunny at Banff Sunshine Village. Bunnies will be handing out chocolate and treats to the kids!
